Grow Thicker Eyelashes

What Are Sparse Eyelashes?

Full, dark, and luscious eyelashes are the envy of many. They open up the eyes, making them appear bigger, brighter, younger, and more beautiful. It makes the eyes and overall facial features more defined, powerful, and seductive. Unfortunately, not everyone is born blessed with long, luscious lashes.

Some people are troubled with how to deal with sparse eyelashes, thinning eyelashes, or short eyelashes. Beyond the aesthetic component of having a set of thick and dark eyelashes, they also have functional benefits that protect your eyesight. The American Optometric Association also suggests that individuals with sparse eyelashes suffer from high eye infection rates.

The Cause of Sparse Eyelashes:

  • Aging – As a result of the normal aging process, eyelashes can grow thinner, shorter, and lose pigmentation in both men and women.
  • Pregnancy – In some cases, pregnant women can also experience sparse eyelashes due to the fluctuation of thyroid hormones and nutritional deficiencies. However, this is rare and often resolves on its own after giving birth.
  • Lash Extensions – One of the major risks of getting lash extensions is follicle damage on the lashes resulting from improper application procedure or harsh tugging and pulling. As a result, some individuals find themselves with sparse eyelashes when it’s time to remove the extensions. Hence, it’s always essential to find a qualified and professionally experienced aesthetician when doing any cosmetic procedure to avoid long-term side-effects.

LATISSE® Eyelashes Treatment

Put an end to your lash envy with APT Medical’s LATISSE® eyelashes. LATISSE® is an FDA-approved treatment with 0.03% bimatoprost to grow eyelashes for people with inadequate or not enough lashes.

Initially, this procedure was developed as a non-invasive medication for treating ocular hypertension, which is a risk factor for glaucoma. However, once researchers discovered that patients started to grow thicker, darker eyelashes as a side effect, they realized its potential as an exciting enhancement product.

LATISSE® for eyelashes is a liquid, topical solution that can only be obtained by a medical professionals office. It is highly recommended to be applied on the base of your upper eyelids in the evening to prevent any complications with eye makeup.

Results You Can Expect

Despite its amazing effects, don’t expect LATISSE® to work its magic on your sparse eyelashes overnight. This eyelash enhancement treatment takes at least 16 weeks of regular use to see the full and final results. During the first few weeks, you’ll start to notice your lashes growing longer and then eventually getting thicker and darker as the weeks go by. We recommend sticking to the treatment for the full 16 weeks even if you’ve already achieved your desired results. After week 16, talk to your doctor about using the product to maintain your beautiful results.

Once you have started doing the LATISSE® eyelashes treatment, you must do so religiously. If you stop using the product at any point, you risk undoing its benefits and going back to having sparse eyelashes again within weeks or months.

If you still don’t see any notable improvement at around two months of regular, nightly use of LATISSE® eyelashes treatment, check in with your doctor for expert advice.

How Long Do LATISSE® Eyelashes Treatment Results Last?

The results of LATISSE® Eyelashes Treatment may not be permanent, but they last a significantly long time. As previously mentioned, it’s best to speak with your doctor after 16 weeks of using the product to discuss possible ways to maintain your long and luscious eyelashes. In some cases, clients are advised to cut back on application, using the product only three times a week instead of every day. However, this depends on a case to case basis.
